This delightful spot goes beyond being merely a place to grab a coffee; it's where connection and warmth thrive, thanks to the delightful proprietor, Chai. He is known for his exceptional hospitality that immediately makes you feel at home.

Upon entering, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee envelops you, accompanied by the alluring scent of Chai's delicious empanadas, which he serves warm and in a variety of flavors. Each morning, you can savor a different delightful treat prepared with care, while his friendly smile and engaging conversations set the mood for your day. The host is the cutest homely place and it’s the best location ever. Everything is walkable from here he is a local and makes cozy coffee for you too. Bathrooms are clean, everything works. He is so helpful! If you need washing machine, or even a printer! He has it all! Lots of plug points, free water, security etc. the beds are soft, the blanket is softer. It’s not luxurious but it’s so loved! it’s perfect & cozy.

Such a lovely experience, the owner was honestly the nicest person I have met on my travels. Greeted us each morning and made us amazing coffee than refused to take our money as we are his guests. The rooms aren’t anything spectacular but are clean and there is also a washing machine for you to use Thank you Chai!!!!

Chai is one of the most engaging and supportive hosts I have ever encountered. His energy sets the tone for your visit to Chinatown and the city beyond. The location is a convenient walk to a ferry station as well as the Blue Line subway. We stayed in the private room with a private bathroom. It had everything we needed.

We had such a great time staying here! The host — Chai — is honestly one of the kindest and most genuine people we've met. He made us coffee (which I love) and gave out yummy (every flavor) empanadas every morning. He always takes the time to chat with us, share stories, and give really helpful suggestions on where to go and what to do around Bangkok. You can really tell he enjoys connecting with his guests and making them feel at home. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Chinatown and close to everything. Buses, trains, the pier, Talat Noi, Song Wat Road, and Sampheng Market (which opens at 11 PM!) are all within walking distance. It makes getting around super easy and convenient. And the place itself? Super budget-friendly, and still has everything you need and more. There’s a washing machine with detergent and fabcon, three shared but clean and well-stocked bathrooms (with hot water, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash), soft towels, comfy beds with blankets, and AC in every room. They even have a hairdryer, iron, hangers, and a clothes rack. It really felt like a home away from home. Honestly, as much as I’d love to gatekeep this gem of a place for myself, I also genuinely want more people to experience it — and for Chai to get all the love and support he deserves. If you’re looking for a warm, cozy, and affordable stay in Bangkok, this is it. And If I ever get the chance to travel to Thailand again, id stay here for sure (hope it still has room for me tho). And if you want our one-week-itinerary in Bangkok, feel free to send me a DM in IG @acertainjoy. Also, the coffee he makes is amazing.

This place is a true gem!!! Really deserves its super rating!!! All 6 of us absolutely loved thrle place, for one special reason: it's owner!!! Always there in the morning managing his little café, as soon as we come down, he's there with a huge smile, lots of laughter, and an incredible positive mood. And by the way, he totally beats starbucks with his coffees!!! Thank you so much, Chai! It was a wonderful experience, and as close to 'how away from home' as we could ever hope for! Dont expect high-end style, but rather a low key and chilled place, perfect with kids and with a super friendly atmosphere!!! But of course, the shower works and the beds are perfectly clean. So chilled but withbgood standards!!! We'll definitely stay here again everytime we come!
